LEWISTON – The artist for October at the St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Visiting Artist Gallery is Mercedes Gastonguay of Lewiston.

A Maine native, Gastonguay does artwork on commission in all subjects and media. She is noted for her pen and ink renderings and paintings of homes, businesses and portraits. Her works include Maine seascapes and landscapes, rustic still lifes, flowers and Franco-American heritage scenes that have been displayed throughout Maine galleries.

She has been invited annually with her students to exhibit a variety of subjects and media at the Atrium Gallery of L-A College.
