I had to do this before elections. What is our governor trying to do to Maine? We are American; where are our rights?

No more smoking in restaurants; now, no more smoking at beano or bingo and, in January, they want to bar smoking in bars.

Maine’s government is turning out to be “Maineiacs.” Wake up. You’re destroying Vacation Land. Where is our land of the free?

Where are our rights as smokers? Smokers are picked on, discriminated against. Why? We should have our freedom of choice. If a casino opens, is it gonna be smoke free?

I’ve been smoking for 55 years, and I’m still here. They made my husband quit and a half year later he’s dead. I am a Mainer all my 71 years. Don’t take our rights away. Wake up. Land of the free. Put it on the ballot. Let we, the people, have a choice.
