SALEM – Mt. Abram High School will sponsor an American Red Cross blood drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, at the high school.

Choir honored
FARMINGTON – Word has been received that the Mt. Blue High School women’s choir, The Syncopations, has been invited to participate in the Field Studies International National Women’s Honor Choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City. This 16-member high school vocal ensemble, under the direction of Carol Shumway, Mt. Blue High School choral director, auditioned in early September for this prestigious choral event.
The group will travel to New York City in March for three days of rehearsals with the internationally renowned conductor/composer Dr.Z. Randall Stroope followed by the final concert in Carnegie Hall.
