LEWISTON – The Centreville Neighborhood Association is preparing for the third annual Downtown Trick or Treat Celebration. This year’s celebration will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

During that time a number of area businesses located from Chestnut to Main streets and Park to Canal streets will welcome area trick or treaters.

Again this year, the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will take free photos of all participating trick or treaters. The Lewiston Police Department will be on hand to ensure the safety of all, and volunteers will be available to answer questions and provide directions throughout the route.

Last year 42 local businesses participated by handing out treats to more than 200 kids from Lewiston/Auburn and surrounding areas. Those interested in participating should call the chamber at 783-2249 for more information.
