WILTON – Planners will consider one new application when they meet Thursday at 7 p.m. at the town office.

Nancy and George Wells want to stabilize the shoreline on their property on Loon Island. The island is located on Wilson Lake.

In other business, planners will discuss with Dennis Landry his request to have the zoning changed on a piece of property he recently purchased. The property and the area around it is currently zoned as industrial. Landry would like his parcel changed to residential. He is not asking that the zoning in the rest of the area be changed.

Planners will also continue to work on:

• Taking information out of the zoning ordinance that conflicts with a newly enacted subdivision ordinance.

• Possibly increasing the number of hours the code enforcement officer works in order to address a variety of violations in town.

• Enforcing junkyard violations.

• Possibly changing ordinance setback requirements from the water in the downtown area.

Other issues are changing the land use table, Routes 2 & 4 access management, regulations around signs that advertise brand name products, shoreland expansions and cluster development.
