LEWISTON – Androscoggin Trust & Investment Services announces the promotion of Eve Wing to the position of vice president.

She has also been awarded the designation of Certified Trust & Financial Advisor.

“Eve has worked very hard since joining the trust arena several years ago. She does an absolutely wonderful job serving as administrator to our trust and investment management clients and is truly a customer centric professional, ” said Androscoggin Trust & Investment Services Executive Vice President Gary Knight

The CTFA designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of trust and investment management. To qualify, individuals must obtain certain levels of experience and education in their profession, pass an exam, and agree to abide to a code of ethics.

The Institute of Certified Bankers, an organization sponsored by the American Bankers Association, oversees awarding CTFA designations.

Wing also graduated from the NESB Trust School at Williams College in June. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at the University of Maine.

She lives in Augusta with her two daughters.

Alliance hires Amy Scott

FARMINGTON – The Western Mountains Alliance has hired Amy Scott of Newry to fill the new position of project coordinator.

“We are pleased to have Amy join our growing team. Her past work on Maine rivers, coupled with her skills in community organizing and grant writing will greatly enhance our work in helping to shape the future of western Maine,” said Deb Burd, executive director of the Western Mountains Alliance.

Scott is a graduate of the College of the Atlantic where she was the recipient of the Morris K. Udall Excellence in National Environmental Policy Scholarship. Most recently, she worked with the faculty of the college to create a watershed studies program, and developed and coordinated the Union River Watershed Coalition in eastern Maine’s Hancock County.

She has also helped the Northern Forest Center develop a teacher’s resource guide to cultural and natural resource programs in the region. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Augusta-based Maine Rivers.

Established in 1988, the Western Mountains Alliance strives to improve the quality of life and to strengthen the regional identity of those living in Oxford, Franklin, Somerset, Piscataquis and northern Androscoggin counties.
