1927 – 2003

PERU – Eleanor E. Martin, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 16, at her residence on Route 108 in Peru.

Born in Mexico, on Feb. 15, 1927, she was the daughter of Joseph (Farmer Jones) and Angelina (Peters) Arsenault. She attended local schools. She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church in Mexico and was also a member of LeParesseux Snowshoe Club. She enjoyed her family and her summer home in P.E.I., Canada, and was an avid Beano player.

She was married in Mexico in November of 1973 to Camille Martin who survives of Peru.

Other survivors include four sons, Augustine “Gus” Capponi Jr. of Milton, Vt., Andrew Capponi and his wife Jackie of Milton, Vt., Peter Capponi and his wife Sharon of Rumford and Joseph Capponi of Brewer; two daughters, Sheryl Briggs and her husband Richard of Mexico and Mary Anne Blouin and her husband David of Mexico; a stepson, Don Martin of Mass.; a stepdaughter, Deborah Giroux and her husband Louis of Rumford; two sisters, Gloria Lavorgna and her husband Anthony of Mexico and Rita Woods of Mexico; and many grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a stepson, Dennis Martin; a sister, Mary “Marie” Preble; and a brother, Ronnie Arsenault.
