BETHEL – Jeff Fuller scored two first-half goals to power Mountain Valley to a 2-1 MVC victory over Telstar in boys’ soccer Thursday. Pat Harris and Zach Martin each notched an assist for the Falcons (9-5). Kevin Zinchuk scored Telstar’s goal on a penalty kick with 2:02 left.

Mountain Valley’s Eric Meader made seven saves, while Terry Collins turned away 11 shots for the Rebels (6-5-3).

Mt. Abram 3, Carrabec 1

SALEM – Sam Witherspoon netted a pair of goals Thursday to pace Mt. Abram to a 3-1 victory over Carrabec in an MVC boys’ soccer matchup.

Kevin Alari added a goal for the Roadrunners to complete the scoring. Andy Sperry turned back four shots in net to record the win.Jeremy Howell gave the Cobras their lone goal, while John Chretien made 17 saves.

Cony 3, Edward Little 1

AUGUSTA – Chris Vashon nailed a direct free kick early in the second half to break the deadlock and lead Cony to a 3-1 win over Edward Little in boys’ soccer action Thursday. Tyler Dorris converted a relay from Marc St. Hilaire to put the Red Eddies (5-8-1) on the board first.

B.J. Levasseur made six saves in goal for the Red Eddies, while Matthew Dennett held back five for the Rams (8-4-2).

Lewiston 0, Lawrence 0

LEWISTON – Goalie Eric Grenier stopped a penalty kick late into the second half as Lewiston played to a 0-0 tie with Lawrence in KVAC boys’ soccer action Thursday. Grenier set aside seven shots on goal for the Blue Devils (6-4-4), while Nate Lovitz stopped two for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs could not capitalize on the 17-8 advantage in shots on goal.
