LEWISTON – The Lewiston High School Marching Band is gearing up for the annual Twin Cities Marching Band Show to be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Roux Field.

The show, hosted by the Lewiston High School and Edward Little High School music associations, will feature performances by the LHS and EL bands as well as nine other high school marching bands from Maine and New Hampshire. The event is sanctioned by the Maine Band Directors Association and is the final performance before the state finals on Nov. 1.

The LHS band, under the direction of Director Wayne Strout, will perform selections from the Broadway musical “Smoky Joe’s Café.” This year’s drum majors are Jeff Lacroix and Chelsea Plourde. Color Guard captains are Abby Bosse and Beth Champagne.

The EL band, directed by Jennifer Fortin, will perform songs from the classic movie “The Wizard of Oz.” EL’s drum majors are Jillian Byard and Alexandra Judd. Kelsey Evans is the Color Guard captain.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children; and $20 for a family.
