KITTERY – Kelly Finneran scored the eventual game-winner as Traip blanked Lisbon 2-0 in a girls’ soccer preliminary Tuesday.
The seventh-ranked Rangers (8-7) scored the opening goal on a feed from Ally Tukey to Finneran at 28:16 of the first period. Lindsay Cutts added an unassisted goal in the second half for insurance.
Goalie Belle Mathieu made seven saves for the No. 10 Greyhounds (6-8-1), while Jill Seward defended three shots on net for the win.

GORHAM – Junior Zach Ansley netted a pair of goals to direct the University of Southern Maine to a 3-0 triumph over the University of New England in men’s soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
Ansley’s first goal came in the 23rd minute when he beat the defensive back to take a short feed from junior Zach Rossignol. Ansley sent the ball over the defender and into the net. Senior Ian Doumas gave the Huskies (6-7-2) a 2-0 advantage going into the half.
Freshman Kane DiBenedetto made two saves through the first 71 minutes for the Huskies before yielding to senior Dan Hills.
Sophomore Steven Bishop had seven saves for the Nor’easters (3-9-1).
