ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Robert W. Hatch, 56, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Monday, Oct. 20, at home.

Born Oct. 4, 1947, in Livermore Falls, he moved to Florida in 1999 from Newcastle. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He lived and worked in the Washington D.C. area for 10 years, returning to his home state of Maine in 1982, where he worked at Bath Iron Works for 16 years. Locally he was employed at Raytheon Co. of Largo as a six-sigma certified manager.

He was a “Blues” music aficionado, an avid cook and enjoyed roller blading, skiing, motorcycling and many other outdoor sports.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Suzanne Laurencell; a daughter, Brady Hatch of St. Petersburg; a son, William Hatch of St. Petersburg; his mother, Yvette Maillett of Livermore Falls; and two brothers, Dennis Hatch of Olympia, Wash., and Russell Hatch of Fairfield.
