MECHANIC FALLS – An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Our Lady of Ransom Church, 111 Elm St.

The drive is sponsored by the Social Justice and Peace Commission and the Knights of Columbus. All types of blood are needed.

AUBURN – There will be an American Red Cross blood drive in Kirk Hall at Central Maine Community College from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28. Refreshments will be available.

Y-Wives

LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine will celebrate its 125th birthday at an open house on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Y, East Avenue.

Members of the former Y-Wives group are being sought to attend the 4 p.m. social and renew friendships.

Parenting

BRUNSWICK – A parenting education program, “Caught in the Middle,” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Brunswick High School library.

Presented by an experienced educator and counselor, the four-hour workshop on divorce and children will address behavior at specific ages, the impact of divorce on behavior and management strategies to effect positive change.

Participants will receive a manual, which covers workshop topics and includes a helpful resource guide. The fee is $25. For more information or to register, call 837- 4893.
