AUBURN – More than 35 members of the Boys and Girls Club of Auburn/Lewiston were served doughnuts and hot chocolate from Dunkin’ Donuts on Sept. 23 at a party celebrating the club’s second successful year as a fund-raising partner with Dunkin’ Donuts at the Great Falls Balloon Festival.

At the 11th annual festival in August, volunteers from Dunkin’ Donuts raised $1,330 for the Auburn clubhouse.

According to Unit Director Sherri Goulet, the money will be used to enhance the club’s after-school programs. This year’s fund-raising total was almost double the amount raised at the 2002 festival.

Robert Seavey, general manager of the Auburn Center Street Dunkin’ Donuts, provided the sweets for the party, and announced the intentions of the Lewiston/Auburn franchisees to continue the partnership for a third year. Club members presented a large thank-you card to Seavey.

Also on hand were Robert A. Clark, chief professional officer of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Portland, South Portland and Auburn/Lewiston; and James Costello Jr., president of the board of directors for the Auburn/Lewiston Club.
