AUGUSTA – The Garden Club Federation of Maine Inc. will hold its 72nd annual fall conference on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Augusta Civic Center.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and President Wendy Cote of the Eliot Garden Club will call the business meeting to order at 9:30.

Honored guests will include National Garden Club President June P. Wood, New England Regional Director Maureen Colton and Vermont State President Caroline Frey.

Lucinda Brockway of Past Designs will present the morning program, “Getting Started: Historic Landscapes.” The afternoon program will feature a commentated design panel of six federation members.

Club members from the Kennebec District will host the conference, including Bloomfield, Kennebec Valley, Central Maine, Mount Blue and Waterville. Cost for the meeting, luncheon and programs is $25. For additional information, contact Lesley Sprague at 622-7188.
