1944 – 2003

AUGUSTA – David J. Swift, 58, of the Stevenstown Road, Litchfield, died Sunday, Oct. 25, at the MaineGeneral Medical Center.

Born Dec. 13, 1944, in Waterville, the son of Norman and Irene Ramsdell Swift, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, tracker and outdoorsman. He worked all his life in the woods.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Grace Christensen Swift of Litchfield; his mother of Litchfield; his daughter, Stella (Heidi) Duclos of Poland; his son, David D. Swift of Litchfield; four grandchildren, Cassandra and Dalton Duclos, Samantha Stewart and Rebecca Reay; one uncle; and two aunts.
