1928 – 2003

TUALATIN, Ore. – Stanley A. (Lonnie) Pearl, 74, of Tualatin, Ore., formerly of Danville Junction, died at his home on Oct. 16.

Born in Lewiston, Dec. 18, 1928, the son of the late Blanch Pearl of Danville Junction and the late Stanley Pearl of Lewiston. He graduated from Edward Little High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Pearl received his Bachelors degree from the Michigan State University, his Masters from the University of North Carolina and his Doctorate from the University of Nevada. He taught Political Science at the University of Nevada and the University of Oregon. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he worked for Nordstrom’s in Portland, Ore.

Mr. Pearl is survived by his sister, Kathy Perkins and her husband Rick of Livermore; a brother, Roger Pearl of Lewiston; two stepsisters, Ivy Maurice of Conn., and Virginia Whittington of Kansas; a stepbrother, Burnie Eveleth of Lewiston; three nieces, Melissa Burgess of Monmouth, Jackie Redmond of Greene, Linda Muscaro of Conn., and her daughters, Shannon and Stephanie; four nephews, Rusty Perkins of South Paris, Randy Perkins of New Sharon, Roger Pearl of Conn., and Gene Pearl of Mechanic Falls; several great-nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
