CANTON – Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center was recently honored with the SunDance Rehabilitation Excellence Award. The award recognizes long-term care facilities for excellence in physical, occupational and speech therapy. SunDance Rehabilitation Corporation is one of the nation’s leading providers of therapy services, serving approximately 600 skilled-nursing and long-term care facilities across the United States.

The SunDance Rehabilitation Excellence Award is presented to top-performing facilities that score ‘excellent’ on a minimum of 20 of 24 company standards for rehabilitative services. Qualifying facilities are selected on the basis of a compliance audit that reviews patient care, documentation, information systems, quality assurance, environment and equipment. Measures of staff and resident satisfaction also are factored into the facility’s overall score.

“The audit is a complete assessment of the facility’s rehabilitation services,” said Kathy Nuelle, SunDance vice president of compliance. “This is a significant accomplishment. It indicates that Victorian Villa has a comprehensive program that provides a high level of quality in all areas.”
