1937-2003

NORWAY – Shirley L. Ellis, 66, of South Paris, formerly of Turner died Saturday, Nov. 1 at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in N. Kingston, R.I. on Jan. 27, 1937 the daughter of Everett and Olive Strange Noel.

She graduated from North Kingston High School. She had been a unit supervisor at Pineland Hospital in Pownal for 30 years. She was a member of the American Legion in Auburn and had been President of the Lewiston Social Club.

She was an avid NASCAR fan for Dale, Jr., a devoted WWE fan and enjoyed bingo.

She is survived by: a daughter, Gayle Hall and her husband, Richard of Hebron; two sons, Jim Ellis of Mechanic Falls and David Ellis of Deerfield, N.H.; six grandchildren, Bonnie, Larry Jr., Crystal, Jay, Collin and Kyle; two great grandchildren, Courtney and Christian; a sister, Helen Graham of Port Orange, Fla.; brothers, Milo Noel of Vermont, Dana Corey of Rhode Island and his twin David Noel of Vermont. She was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Noel and a son, Lawrence Ellis, Sr.
