At Poland Spring Academy, students, and teachers got together and raised money for backpacks and school supplies to take to Department of Human Services. They did this so that children who are in the care of Department of Human Services could have something for themselves. Every year around this time students and teachers gather these items for children in need. We call it our annual “Make a Difference Day.”

Tina Brisbois who passedaway, started Make a Difference Day. We decided to keep it going in honor of her memory. If all schools could contribute to Make A Difference Day, just think of all the lives we could make a difference in. Three students including myself brought the backpacks and supplies on Thursday the 23rd of October. I know it makes me proud to have helped.
