RUMFORD – A Massachusetts truck driver learned Saturday night that big rigs can’t quite turn sharply without wreaking havoc.
According to police, Maurice Garick, 40, of Springfield, Mass., sideswiped a signal pole at the intersection of Bridge and Congress streets with his 2003 Freightliner
Police said the truck sustained no damage but the pole, which is owned by the town, sustained $2,000 damage.
An AD Electric crew from Monmouth began work to replace the pole.
