OTISFIELD – The fire association opened 15 equipment bids during the Board of Selectmen meeting Wednesday night.

Association members reviewed six bids for turnout gear ranging from $37,125 to $28,200, four bids for radios ranging from $13,320 to $10,000, and five bids for a blower exhaust fan ranging from $2,100 to $1,300.

The bids are for 25 sets of turnout gear, 25 radios and one blower exhaust fan.

Association members are reviewing the bids and plan to award contracts by the end of the week.

In other business, Recreation Director Marianne Izzo-Morin put out a notice to parents/guardians of third through sixth grade students at Otisfield Community School to watch for basketball signup forms by the end of the week.

Cost for the program is $20 for first child and $40 family maximum. Forms need to be sent back to school or dropped off at the town office by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14.
