1913 – 2003
AUBURN – Lena P. Moreau LePage, 90, a resident of Stetson Road in Auburn, died Thursday, Nov. 6, at Schooner Estates, where she had resided for 10 years.
Born in Jay, July 22, 1913, the daughter of Stanislas and Anna Bourque Doiron, she attended the schools of Jay.
On Oct. 7, 1935 she married her beloved husband, Frank Moreau. They made their home and raised their family on Knapp Street in Jay. Mr. Moreau passed away on Sept. 17, 1970.
During World War II she worked at the Bell Aircraft Co. and later at the Glove Shop, local shoe companies and the Lake Shore Motel in Livermore. She was a devoted wife and mother and took pride in being a homemaker.
In 1977 she married Leo G. LePage and moved to Lewiston, making their home on Union Street and later on Randall Road. Mr. LePage passed away in November of 1995. She enjoyed her years at Schooner Estates and her family would like to thank the staff at the nursing home and also the nurses from Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice for their kindness and help over the years.
She was a former communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Lewiston.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard Moreau and his wife, Donna Brown of Litchfield and Raymond Moreau and his wife, Jennifer of Old Town; a daughter, Francine Belz and her husband, Tom of Readfield; and seven grandchildren, Richard, Scott, Nathan, Tricia Lynn, Jason, Melissa Rae Moreau and Melissa Rae Thibodeau.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Albert Doiron; and two sisters, Stella Waslauskis and Lola Uff.
