1948 – 2003
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Thomas Person Connelly, 55, of 22 North Dr., Portsmouth, R.I., formerly of Fall River, Mass., and Lewiston, died Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Veterans Hospital Providence.
Born in Lewiston on Jan. 9, 1948, he was the son of Wilhelmina M. (Person) Connelly of Newport, R.I., and the late Herbert Merrill Connelly.
Mr. Connelly was in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a finish carpenter for various companies in Rhode Island and Massachusetts areas and also in Maine. Mr. Connelly was a member of the Bristol, R.I., Lodge of Elks, and the American Legion in Old Town. He enjoyed hunting, canoeing, classical music and his dog, “Sully.”
Besides his mother, he is survived by his brother, William Martin Connelly of Greene; two sisters, Wilhelmina Terry Pelletier of Fall River, Mass., and Marvina LePage of Portsmouth, R.I.; several nieces, nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews.
