1902 – 2003

Lewiston – Flora D’Amour, 100, died at D’Youville Pavillion Nursing Home on Friday, Nov. 7.

She was born in Lisbon on Nov. 24, 1902, the daughter of Ludger and Maria Groleau Berube. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Lisbon High School.

She married Emile D’Amour in 1946. She was employed in local mills as a spinner during her lifetime.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Mrs. D’Amour was a lifetime member and past president of the Womans Auxillary Coombs Mountfort Post. She received the Lisbon Boston Post Cane Award at her 100th birthday party. She enjoyed entertaining friends and relatives at her summer home at Indian Rest in Harpswell, where everyone was always welcome.

She is survived by her caregivers, Linda Gamrat of Lisbon and Sandra Belanger of Lewiston; several neices, nephews, great-neices and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Emile in 1976; five sisters, Rose, Albertine, Helena, Marie, and Corinne; and four brothers, Leo, Ernest, Eugene,and Egide.
