Having the laptops this year is a lot different than not having anything last year. It is a big change, but I can get used to it. The laptops are good in one particular way. Other kids and I can have an easier time researching information. Another positive aspect is that we don’t have to go to the computer lab or check out an Alpha Smart just to type or save writing pieces. The laptops also keep us occupied in our spare time. Instead of doing nothing, we can get ahead or maybe even play a game.

It is kind of the same thing as having no dress code in the way that we can express our personalities by setting things like the dock, screen savers and folders to fit our liking.

When kids are online, it is very hard to get in trouble because the filters are so strict.

A couple bad things about the laptops are that we have to carry them everywhere, and some days we don’t get much time to use them. Sometimes they become troublesome for the teacher when the kids are not paying attention.

Overall though, I think that they are good to have at school.
