LEWISTON – Diane C. Letourneau, 62, of 9 Kennebec Drive, Lisbon, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Central Maine Medical Center, following a long battle with leukemia.

Born in Lewiston on Aug. 15, 1941, she was the daughter of Onesime and Beatrice Boucher Brochu. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School and worked for many years in the area shoe industry, including 14 years at Acorn Shoe.

In 1963 she was married to Richard Somers, and, although they divorced several years later, they always remained close friends. She was a devout Christian, and enjoyed gardening, crafts, reading, housekeeping, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Dunlap of Medford, Mass.; two brothers, Ronald and wife Lorraine Brochu of Lewiston, and Paul and wife Constance Brochu of Lewiston; three sisters, Joline and husband Raymond Brissette of Lewiston, Jeannette and husband Robert Lucio of Greeneville, Wisc., and Fernande and husband Robert Couture of Lisbon; three grandchildren, Donielle D. McDade, Jessica D. Doiron, and Joseph Doiron; and many nieces and nephews.
