WINDHAM – Alice L. Gray, 87, formerly of Route 302, Windham died Sunday, Nov. 16, at a Portland health care facility.

She was born in Portland, the daughter of Charles W. and Annie E. Shumbrey Leighton and graduated from Portland High School in 1933.

She was a life long homemaker. She and her late husband owned and operated Cliff’s Furniture and Antiques at their home for 30 years. She was a Life Member and Past Matron of Evangeline Chapter #167, OES in Windham; the Rebekahs and the Grange in Westbrook. She enjoyed bingo, knitting, crafts and traveling.

She is survived by: her son Clifton R. Gray and his wife, Mimi, of Bryant Pond; two daughters, Linda E. Washburn and her husband, Gary, of Hollis, and Arlene G. Vachon and her husband, Paul, of Turner; a son- in -law, Gene Green of Westbrook; 14 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

She was predeceased by: her husband Clifton; a son, Charles J. Bennett; a daughter, Priscilla M. Green; one brother and three sisters.
