LEWISTON – Roger Sklar, 76, of Auburn died on Sunday, Nov. 16 at CMMC.

Roger was born on July 1, 1927 in Albany, N.Y., the son of Lewis and Jane (Kudner) Sklar.

Roger worked for 12 years in the mental health field in Maine and Illinois, having retired from Pineland. He was also a professional writer, radio personality and actor. He enjoyed fencing and Amateur Radio Operations. He was a member of Down Easters Barber Shop Chorus, Post Polio Syndrome Group, Red Cross volunteer and Lifeline Exercise.

Roger is survived by: his daughter Megan Brown and husband, Ed, of W. Poland; son Michael Sklar and wife, Karen, of Childersburg, Ala.; grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel, Ian, Cassidy and David; sister-in-law Nancy Nichols; and mother-in-law Barbara McConnell. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol.
