LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens will have their Thanksgiving lunch at noon on Monday, Nov. 17, at Murray Hall.
Taking salads will be Lucille Frechette, Jeannine Williams, Jeannette Buck, Shirley Couture, Doris DeMillo, Shirley Toncer, Carmen Moreau and Pauline Fournier. Marilyn DeSoto will provide baked beans and coleslaw.
Entertainment will be by Bing and Nancy Crosby.
The following Monday, Nov. 24, the Seniors Plus meal will be served at the hall at 12:30 p.m. The menu includes turkey supreme, squash, rolls and cranapple sauce.
The Christmas party has been set for 12:30 p.m. Dec. 8, catered by Laurie Gagnepain.
The club has voted to donate $100 to the local food bank. Robin Andrews, diet technician, has indicated she is available to attend a meeting to do group talks, newspaper articles and some cooking classes.
Chairman Shirley Couture led the last meeting which Marie Leblanc, Alice Castonguay, Joanne Knapp and Gabriel Labine were listed as sick.
Mary Groleau led the group in singing “Faith of Our Fathers” and the 50/50 was won by Edith Leblanc. Gloria Bickford won a basket donated by Elvina Miller.
At the Oct. 27 meeting, a meal from SeniorsPlus was enjoyed and John DeMoras was placed on the sick list.
Happy Birthday was wished to Blanche Bilodeau, Athanase Couture, Shirley Couture, Diane Getz, Irene Moreau and Joyce Richard, who all had October birthdays.
The drawing was won by Edith LeBlanc, a bread donated by Marilyn DeSoto was won by Dora Slovak and a Halloween plate made by Ellie Mitchell went to Pauline Fournier.
