NORWAY – A man died Sunday from injuries suffered when a car he was working under fell from its jack.

According to Norway Police officer Jim Ventresca, Paul Feeney, 38, of 331 Dunn Road, was discovered under his vehicle by his wife, Ellen, at about 5:30 p.m.

Ventresca said the vehicle was on an inclined driveway. He didn’t know why the car fell. No one was home at the time of the accident. Ellen and her children Caroline and Walter, who are both younger than 8 years old, had been at the movies.

Feeney had been employed by K & R Auto Sales in Auburn.

Ventresca said Feeney was unresponsive when police and ambulance services arrived. He was pronounced dead at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

Ventresca said the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta will determine the cause of death.
