PARIS – The marketing students of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will host the 29th DECA Holiday Craft Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22.
Co-chairwoman Whitney Emens said this year’s event marks the largest fair ever.
“We’ve opened up a new wing so we can accommodate many more crafters this year,” she said.
There also will be a larger variety of items, including stained glass, pewter, a hand-published book, floor cloths, bookends, more types of jewelry, and Victorian lampshades.
The other co-chairwoman, Miranda Kennagh, said there will also be a new offering to customers: a gift-wrapping service. The price will depend on the size of the package.
The fair offers food and refreshments, and pictures with Santa from noon to 2 p.m. There will be a performance by the Viking Travel Choir from 3 to 3:30 p.m., free baby-sitting, and more than 75 door prizes to be given away.
Admission for adults is $1, and free to persons age 18 and under.
The fair is a collaboration of the school’s 31 marketing students, law enforcement students who help with parking, and graphic arts students who design and print posters, flyers and programs.
All proceeds from admission fees benefit the activities of the students involved with DECA, which stands for Distributive Education Classes of America.
