Quilting classes

NORWAY – The Norway Memorial Library is inviting children ages 7 to 12 to sign up for quilting classes held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Dec. 2, 9 and 16, at the library on Main Street. Barbara Frost, western Maine representative for the Pine Tree Quilter’s and program chairman for the Pine Needle Quilters of Norway and Paris, will teach the classes. On Dec. 2, children will choose fabric of their choice to make a potholder and begin to sew the potholder together. On Dec. 9, children will begin to quilt. At the Dec. 16 session, children will sew on labels and ring to hang the potholders. Space is limited to 10 children. Preregistration is necessary. Deadline for registering is Friday, Nov. 28.
