ANDOVER – Graveside services for Mr Carroll W. Powell of Mexico were conducted 11 AM Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Andover with Rev. David Willhoite officiating. Music included “Amazing Grace.”

Representing the Swasey-Torrey Post # 100, American Legion of Dixfield were Chaplain Leland Merchant who read the poem “The Day God Called You Home” and Post Commander Marcel Martineau who presented the American flag. A reception followed the services at the Robert Shand Post # 1641, VFW, Rumford. Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin Street, Rumford.

Mary Arsenault

MEXICO – Funeral services for Mary Edna “Sally” Arsenault were held 11 AM Saturday at St.Theresa’s Church, following prayers at The S.G.Thibault Funeral Home 250 Penobscot St Rumford, the Rev. Al Jacques officiating. Bearer’s were: Joel Desjardins, Darrel Desjardins, Peter Arsenault, Dean Arsenault, Jacob Arsenault and Tremor Arsenault. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery Rumford where Deacon Rod Berger read committal prayers.
