James Carignan’s article, “We owe our kids more than lip service,” was the most informative, well-researched, thought-provoking, thorough and heart-felt column I have read (Nov. 16).

His family is fortunate to have a loving, understanding and supporting father and grandfather.

It is a glowing testimonial to Morgan McDuffie, whose aspirations of a life filled with quality and goodness, was so violently cut short.
