BETHEL – A young Bethel man was transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway after a rollover wreck on Paradise Road.

Leonard Hills, 18, suffered lacerations to his left arm in the 5:10 p.m. accident, said Bethel Police Chief Darren M. Tripp. Hills also complained of head and neck pain.

Tripp said Leonard was traveling easterly on Paradise Road in a 1994 Oldsmobile sedan when his vehicle crossed the opposing lane of traffic onto the opposite shoulder.

Hills then turned the steering wheel to the right, over-correcting, which caused his car to enter a left-side slide, and then re-cross the road .

The car rolled one-and-a-quarter revolutions coming to rest on the driver’s side, facing south, Tripp said.

No charges will be filed, he added.

The car, which was a total loss, was towed by Gaudreau’s Repair of Bethel.
