Brunswick High School football head coach Dick Leavitt was named the Pine Tree Conference’s Coach of the Year Wednesday.

In his ninth year at Brunswick, Leavitt led the Dragons to a 10-2 record and their first Pine Tree Conference championship in the school’s history.

Gardiner fullback/linebacker Nate Munzing earned the Ray Caldwell Player of the Year Award.

Munzing was named to conference’s first-team defense, along with Mt. Blue’s Derek Taber and Nate Bolduc and Lewiston’s Nick Lajoie and Steve Cobb. Among those selected to the first team offense were Mt. Blue’s Garrett Lake, Lance Meader, Garrett Strout, Cal Miller and Pete Tinguely, Lewiston’s Steve Poussard, Edward Little’s Chris LeClair and Just Cocroft of Oxford Hills.
