1917 – 2003
LEWISTON – Yvonne M. Beaudoin, 86, formerly of Theresa Avenue, Lewiston, died Friday evening, Nov. 28, at the Marshwood Health Care Facility with her family at her side.
She was born in Lawrence, Mass. Sept. 21, 1917, a daughter of Raoul and Desilda Desloges Daigle.
On Oct. 18, 1947, she married Arthur Beaudoin who died in 1986.
Mrs. Beaudoin first worked several years as a weaver at the Androscoggin Mill and later spent some years working in local shoe shops prior to working several years at Arrow Hart until her retirement in 1967.
She was a lifetime parishioner at the former St. Mary’s Church and enjoyed time with her family, dancing, exhibiting her sense of humor by playing practical jokes on people, sewing and traveling.
She leaves a daughter, Joanne Beaudoin and her companion Wayne Perkins of Durham; a son, Arthur Beaudoin of Raymond; one granddaughter, Joyce Davidson and her husband Cory of Milton Mills, N.H.; three great-grandchildren, Kyle, Gaige and Seth Davidson; and three sisters, Jeannette Martin and Rita Roy, both of Lewiston, and Beatrice Popadak of Merrimac, N.H.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Arthur, Leo, Armand, Raymond and Edward.
