LEWISTON – The Lewiston and Auburn Veterans Council has added two new stones with the names of military or veteran personnel at the Veterans Memorial Park on Main Street.

General Robert Winglass and Joseph Paradis, Post 22, American Legion, unveiled the stones on Veterans Day. More will be unveiled in Memorial Day ceremonies on Saturday, May 29.

Any military personnel or veterans may have their name on the stones. For an application, call one of the following and they will send a form: Chairman Bert Dutil, 786-2305; Vice Chairman, Armand Bussiere, 688-2291; or Treasurer Gerry Cain, 782-6621. Include a copy of discharge DD214 or other documents proving service in the military. The copies will be kept in the council’s files.
