‘Christmas Carol’

RUMFORD – Students from the River Valley Christian School and area home schoolers collaborate to perform an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at the Rumford Town Hall at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22.

Book raffle

MEXICO – The Mexico Free Public Library will hold a holiday book raffle during December. Sixteen new books will be raffled off in packs of four each.

The cost of the raffle ticket will be $1 each or six tickets for $5. Four winning raffle tickets will be drawn on Monday, Dec. 22.

Each winner will receive one pack of four books. Nine of the books are hardcover and seven are paperbacks.

Authors included are Fannie Flagg, Mary Higgins Clark, Janet Evanovich, Alan Paton, Danielle Steel, Kristin Hannah, Mary Taylor Bradford, Haven Kimmel, Olive Burns, Isabel Allende and Virginia Taylor.
