WEST PARIS – C. Maurice Morgan, 77, died Sunday, Dec. 7, at Ledgeview Living Center.

Maurice was born June 24, 1926 in Greenwood. He was the son of Henry and Annie Crocker Morgan. He lived with his wife Phyllis Silver Morgan in South Woodstock for 54 years.

He entered the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of the American Legion at Locke Mills and worked at Stowell’s Mill in Bryant Pond for over 40 years. Maurice was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in South Woodstock. Maurice loved his wife and two children, Wendy Morgan and Craig Morgan and his wife Cynthia very much.

He enjoyed his grandchildren, camping, the Red Sox, the New England Patriots and seven years of wintering in Florida.

Maurice is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Phyllis of South Woodstock; his two children, Wendy Morgan of Portland and Craig Morgan and his wife Cynthia of Michigan; two grandsons of Michigan, Christopher Morgan and his wife, Alicia, and Chad Morgan and his wife, Jon,i with their two children, Chad, Jr. and Elizabeth Morgan; a sister, Dehra Olson of Bryant Pond; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Elizabeth Silver, Clementine Jordan and Virginia Poland; and three brothers, Edgar, Stanley and Miles.
