STRONG – Donald Barrett Millay, 42, of Salem, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, Dec. 7, in Strong.
He was born Nov. 20, 1961, the son of Donald and Billie (Barrett) Millay in Bitburg, Germany. He is a graduate of Carrebec High and attended three years at UMF.
He married Catherine Manning July 2, 1989 in North Anson. He worked as a driver for many years for many different companies and for the past six months at Hannaford Bros. in Farmington where he made many friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing poker with friends, watching basketball and racing, coin collecting, and his dog Belle. He is known for his infectous smile and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: his wife Catherine of Salem, two sons Donald Manning Mallay and Kyle J. Mallay, both of Salem; a stepdaughter Krista Hewey of Salem, and a stepson Geofery Hewey of North Anson; his parents Donald and Billie Millay of Arizona; a sister Jeddy Whipkey of Arizona; two brothers, Sean L. Millay of Arizona and Cameron D. Millay of Texas; several nephews and nieces, and a cousin Stephanie.
