JAY – A Jay man has been charged with burglary, domestic assault and two counts of criminal threatening.

Robert J. Corcoran, 35, allegedly went to a home of a former acquaintance on Farrington Road late Wednesday and broke down the door, said police Chief Larry White Sr.

Corcoran allegedly assaulted a woman and got into a verbal dispute with a man who also was there, White said.

Jay officer Eric Goodrow, who was assisted by Wilton police, arrested Corcoran.

Corcoran posted $2,000 cash bail that same night. He has a court date of Dec. 4 in Farmington.
