AUBURN – A Winter Basketball Camp is being hosted by the Central Maine Community College Athletic Department, Dec. 29-31.

The camp, for boys and girls ages 7-13, will take place 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The sessions will consist of skills and drills, team contests, individual contests and games.

Instructors will include the CMCC coaching staff and players, and former CMCC star and current St. Dom’s basketball coach Dan DeBruin.

Cost is $95 per child or $150 for two family members. The entry fee includes lunch and a camp T-shirt. Registration can be made by contacting the CMCC Athletic Department at 755-5251.

Golf tour scheduled

MANCHESTER, N.H. – A summer tour to Scotland, England and Wales for high school golfers is being conducted by Don Van Uden, the golf coach at Manchester West High School. The tour will run from July 13-22.

Golfers will play on some of Great Britain’s most challenging courses including St. Andrews and the Royal Hoylake Liverpool Course, the latter which will host the 2006 British Open. A tour highlight will be admission to the final day of the British Open. In addition to golfing, participants will visit famous historical sites in both London and Edinburgh.
