SABATTUS – A major cable failure disrupted phone service for three days this week, but a Verizon spokesman vowed it would be repaired by 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Customer Assistant Bill Becy said the company wasn’t sure what caused the problem. “It could be related to the heavy snowfall over the weekend,” he said.
As many as 500 Sabattus customers may have been affected, or it could have been as few as six, Becy said. There were spotty outages around the state since the weekend storm, he said.
