LIVERMORE FALLS – The American Red Cross bloodmobile will be at Murray Hall from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16. The blood drive is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. As a safeguard against a winter shortage, Tom Miller, a Red Cross donor recruitment representative, advises people to bring a friend or two as well. “Blood donation is completely safe and very simple to do,” says Miller. “Being invited to donate with a seasoned blood donor can help a newcomer become a donor for life.” Blood donors must be at least 17, in good health and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. There is no upper age limit. Most medications are acceptable. People can call 1-800-482-0743 with any questions about donating blood.
