AUBURN – The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is planning indoor soccer and skating instruction programs.

The soccer league is for youngsters ages 5-6 and 7-8. Games will be played Saturdays, January 10 to February 15, at Great Falls Gym on Academy Street. Entry fee is $20 for Auburn and Lewiston residents, and $30 for non-residents. Registration ends December 31.

The skating instruction program is designed for ages 4 to adult. Classes will be held at Ingersoll Arena on Fridays from January 2 through March 5. Fee is $80. Registration ends December 29. Following is the schedule: Beginner, 4:30-5:30 p.m.; Advanced, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Ski camp slated

RUMFORD – Black Mountain of Maine is offering an Alpine Ski Racing Camp for middle school students, Dec. 29-31. Entry fee is $20 for Black Mountain season pass holders and $40 for others.

Pre-registration is required by Dec. 20. The camp schedule: Dec. 29, 8 a.m., check-in, Chisholm Ski Club Race HQ building; 9:00, morning session; 12:00, afternoon session; Dec. 30, 9:00, morning session; 12:00, afternoon session; Dec. 31, 9:00, 2-run mock race; 11:30, lunch and awards.
