TURNER – Corey Tielienen drained 25 points to lead Oxford Hills to a 77-65 triumph over Leavitt in boys’ basketball action Tuesday night.

Leif Kothe and Matt McDonnell each added 18 points for the Vikings (2-0).

The Hornets (0-2) were led by Jon Pirruccello with 18 points, while Brandon Powell added 14.

Seacoast 78, Eastgate 49

NEW GLOUCESTER – Jamie Sharp dropped in a game-high 31 points as Seacoast Christian Academy rolled passed Eastgate Christian Academy 78-49 in boys’ basketball Tuesday.

Andre Laplante and Josh Peritchette combined for 25 points for Seacoast Christian (1-2). Eastgate Christian (1-3) was led by Nate Damm with 26 points, while Nicholas Starbird added eight.

Mt. Abram 53, Monmouth 50

MONMOUTH – Sterling Pingree notched 16 points as Mt. Abram snuck past Monmouth 53-50 in boys’ MVC action Tuesday night.

Aaron Adams chipped in with 10 points for the Roadrunners (2-2).

The Mustangs (0-5) were led by Mark Wade with a game-high 23 points.

Brunswick 61, Morse 46

BRUNSWICK – Ralph Mimms poured in 22 points to pace Brunswick to a 61-46 romp over Morse in boys’ basketball action Tuesday evening. Kevin Scully chipped in for the Dragons (2-0) with 11 points, while Mike Scully added 10.

Nate Lovitt led the way for the Shipbuilders (1-1) with 17 points. Morse stayed with the Dragons for much of the game, but were outscored 22-10 in the fourth quarter.

Mt.Ararat 59, Medomak Valley 45

TOPSHAM – Tyler Bode tallied 13 points to lead Mt. Ararat over Medomak Valley 59-45 in boys’ basketball Tuesday evening.

Jim Ouellette (10) and Todd Strong (11) joined Bode in double figures for the Eagles. Mt. Ararat came out of the intermission with a 27-21 lead, but that was as close as Medomak Valley would get. The Eagles (2-0) went on a 7-0 run early in the third quarter, building a sizeable lead the Panthers wouldn’t be able to overcome.

Matt MacKenzie and Justin Rice each scored 14 points for the Panthers (0-2). MacKenzie had the shot of the game, sinking a 40-foot shot at the buzzer to close the third period.

Dirigo 65, Carrabec 43

NORTH ANSON – Brandon Berry drained 18 points Tuesday night to pace Dirigo to a 65-43 victory over Carrabec in a boys’ MVC basketball matchup. Trevis Knapp chipped in for the Cougars (1-3) with 15 points.Travis Yahn led the way for the Cobras (0-4) with a 14-point performance. The Cougars led 36-24 at the half and were never challenged.

Hockey

Lewiston 4, Waterville 3

WATERVILLE – Eric Grenier notched the game-winning goal unassisted seven minutes into the third period to secure Lewiston a 4-3 win over Waterville in hockey action Tuesday.

Adam Longchamps scored and earned an assist, while Joe Gauthier and Scott Geoffroy each scored for the Devils (2-0).

Micah Plaisted netted a hat-trick for the Panthers (0-3).
