1917 – 2003
LEWISTON – Marie Rose Laplante, 86, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center.
Born in Lewiston, June 23, 1917, daughter of Archille and Rose Anne Chouinard Pepin. She retired from Sableman Heel in 1979.
She married Armand Arthur Laplante on June 29, 1936 in Lewiston. They lived in Lewiston where they attended Holy Family Church until their move to Sabattus in 1969, and attended Holy Rosary Church. Armand died Feb. 14, 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Normand and his wife Mary of Sabattus, Donald and his wife Robin of Poland; three daughters, Doris Surette of Sabattus, Jackie Asselin of Sabattus, and Rita and her husband Wayne Milliken of Poland; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
