LIVERMORE FALLS – Based on the recommendation of Assessor Bill Van Tuinen, selectmen approved several abatements and supplementals Tuesday night.

An abatement of $4,600 was granted to Malcolm and Nancy Morris for a garage included in a sale of property. That amount, $112.47 in taxes, was transferred to Barry J. Wright and Sherry Stevens who purchased the garage.

An abatement of $10,800 ($264.06 in taxes) was approved for Randall and Ann Souther on their building value since it was not completed as of April 1.

Two supplemental taxes were issued to Peter and Norma Lavoie for their account, which had been inadvertently deleted from the tax rolls for this year and last. The value each year was $12,000, resulting in taxes of $293.40 and $288.

Roland Beaulieu and Amy Bolduc were granted an abatement of $28,300 (tax of $691.94) on a mobile home they’re renting but do not own. A supplemental for $20,500 ($501.23) was assessed to Allicca Torres, who is the owner.

A supplemental of $26,000 ($635.70) was assessed to Barbara Smith for a mobile home that was not included in the regular tax commitment.

One request, from Peter and Kellee Riordan for an abatement on their real estate was tabled, because the vote was 2-1 to deny, but three votes would have been needed to reject it. That matter will have to wait for a full board to decide.
