BRUNSWICK – Senior guard Amanda Bryant poured in 26 points to lead Lewiston to a 72-56 triumph over Brunswick in KVAC girls’ basketball action Friday.

The Blue Devils raced out in front to take a 15 point edge into intermission. Katie Morin chimed in with 14 points, while Caitlin Anthoine posted another 10 in the winning effort.

Brittany Lemieux led the Dragons with 20 points, including three 3-pointers, and Ashley King added 17 points.

Gray-NG 56, Fryeburg 36

GRAY – Dawn Ross led all scorers with 12 points as Gray-New Gloucester defeated Fryeburg 56-26 Friday evening.

Gray-New Gloucester’s potent offense controlled play in the first half, led by Ross who scored six of the team’s 15 points in the first period. The Patriot (4-0) defense was stifling, holding the Raiders to seven first half points.

Josie Danieli joined Ross in double figures with 10 points. Meredith Wheeler netted 10 points for the Raiders (1-3), while teammates Linsey McFarlain and Gwen Wheeler added seven apiece.

Rangeley 61, Forest Hills 20

RANGELEY – Krysteen Romero scored 24 points and hauled down 12 rebounds to lead Rangeley to a 61-20 victory over Forest Hills in a EWC girls’ basketball game Friday.

Sabrina Clark added 10 points for the Lakers (3-0).

North Yarmouth 58, Buckfield 30

BUCKFIELD – Bobbi Dennison drilled 23 points to spark North Yarmouth Academy to a 58-30 triumph over Buckfield.

Dennison also grabbed six rebounds for the Panthers (3-1).

Chelsea Allen and Desiree Brackett combined for 16 points for the Bucks (0-6).

Telstar 42, Monmouth 25

MONMOUTH – Krystle Gould led the way with 12 points as Telstar beats Monmouth 42-25 Friday night.

Courtney Barrett scored a team-high 12 points for Monmouth. Jillian Kimball also added nine for Telstar.

York 60, Poland 39

YORK – York’s Haley Woods tossed in 13 points and and Abby Boone added 11 as York (2-3) coasted to a 60-39 triumph over Poland.

Poland’s Meghan Ford scored a game high 14 points For the Knights (0-6).
